What’s happening in St. Brigid’s National School, Ballysax from 9th – 13th December, 2019

We have been running Túsla’s “Every Day Counts” attendance campaign since September.   The aim of the campaign is to encourage good school attendance.

We are very happy to announce that our monthly attendance to date is:

September 96%

October 95%

November 95%

It is so important for all children to come to school every day and on time.

Lets try make December the best month yet.

In School Activities

Monday 9th: Basketball games in Moone NS.  Games start at 11.30.

Tuesday 10th: 5th Class swimming.  5th Class remember to bring your swim gear.

This is the final swim session for 5th class.

Wednesday 11th:

Thursday 12th:  GAA Coach in School. 

Mobile Library:  Please make sure your child/children bring their library books to school.  Also if any parents are available to help supervise the children between 10-11 and 11-12 please contact the office on 045 441829.

School Carol Service:  7.00pm Suncroft Parish Church.

Please make sure your child is in the church at 6.45.  Children from 1st-6th are invited to wear Christmas Jumpers or red/green tshirts or jumpers.  Junior and Senior Infants are invited to wear Angel or Shepherd costumes.

Friday 13th:       12.00pm 2nd Class Christmas Play for Parents.  All welcome

After School Sports

Basketball for girls and boys is finished now until the new year.

We are happy to let you know that last weeks 6th Class bake sale brought in €645.00.  Many thanks to everyone for their support.
